Severity: Minor
mC Version: 1.0 RC1
OS Version: WinXP RC 2 + SAMBA share is running Linux (Debian "testing")
Plugins Installed: none
Bug Description: Network mounted songs not played until directory touched
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Connect to an SMB share and log in
2. Do NOT click on the network drive that your songs are mounted on (but click on another to make sure the mount went ok)
3. Try playing your SMB mounted file in musikcube (it will do nothing)
4. CLick on the network drive with the song in it (using windows explorer) and now play any song in MusikCube (it will magically work now)

Are you sure this is not related to the way that debian works?
I know in ubuntu (debian derivative), with certain entries in the fstab file, the mount will not be complete when you get to the desktop, but ubuntu will sort of "Kick It"(tm) when you try to browse a dir. (not all apps will cause this, and may show an empty folder)
Possibly there is a certain query that mC can use on the smb share to prompt the kicking?
I've run into this issue with other applications... the drive isn't reconnected until accessed via explorer.
However, musikcube DOES access network shares correctly using SMB namespace, so you should be able to reach your library that way.
In other words, let's say your library is on drive M: which is mapped to \\server\mp3. Instead of specifying M: in your synchronization setup, specify \\server\mp3.
That's what worked for me, and the library remains active without needing a reconnect after boot.
