Hi,
I've written an external application that migrates the following data from iTunes to musikcube:
- rating
- date added
- last Played
- times played
- playlists
It would be great if some of you could test it. It's running under .Net Framework 1.1
You can download it here:

Sound nice, although I do not have iTunes and your tool needs .Net (I try to avoid it); is it possible to realize the functions as a mC plugin?
Now we just need a plugin to fill iPods witm musics from within mC. There were a lot of discussions about it in this forum:
ipod support? (2005-02)
iPod plugin discussion (2005-03)
iPod Integration Update (2005-05)
iPod compatibility... (2006-02)
copy to iPod plugin ... anyone able to make one ? (2006-11)

This application is awesome!!! It works great. The only problem I had is I have some chinese and japanese songs with filenames with 'invalid' characters, and the program does not migrate those, but works great otherwise.

Are these invalid characters a problem with this program or with mC's problems with some foreign characters (bug list II.2)?

I think it is a problem with the filenames itself, rather than the foreign language information in the tags. Even windows sometimes have problem performing operations on those files as they are legacy filenames from a chinese/japanese version of windows prior to windows xp, and are not Unicode filenames.

It would be great if those skilled programmers could also write a working migration tool for MC to MC ![]()

You mean to go from old versions to new ones?
Offline
no i mean if you want to move your files on the harddrive without losing the ratings ![]()

Try musikMigrate (http://www.musikcube.com/~casey/musikMigrate0.1.zip), but I don't know if it still works.

The website seems to be down, anyone got a mirror for ITUtoMC.zip?

Added it to my mC page (signature).
